Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas Menu

I know Christmas can be a time of anxiety for many vegans and vegetarians out there. It’s the time of the year when you know your dinner host will be far too busy and stressed to create a special menu just for you; and far too often, you get left out, with only a salad or shop-bought nut roast to enjoy. Or you decide to make an exception, just for today; but it is hard to enjoy yourself when you are going against your better judgement, not to mention the digestive issues you inflict upon yourself from eating animal products.

It need not be like this! This year, I am hosting the Christmas dinner for the very first time in my life. My mother, sister, brother-in-law and nephew are coming to visit me for the holidays so I get to spoil them with exquisite vegan desserts. There shall be film nights with hot drinks and ugly Christmas jumpers, the Christmas playlist on repeat for days on end, visits to nearby markets, and of course the Christmas dinner and Boxing Day leftovers. I honestly couldn’t think of anything more glorious. I love planning parties and cooking up a storm.

To make the holidays easier on you, I have listed below all the recipes you could possibly want to try this season. There are starters, main courses, desserts, snacks, drinks and lovely breakfasts – because breakfast is also a big part of the holiday season! You get to be lazy and lie-in, and then tuck into a glorious plate of good food first thing in the morning.

Starters & Sides
Main Courses
Snacks and sweet bites
Pistachio Chocolate Truffles
Speculaas (a Belgian must at Christmas)

Hot Drinks
Boxing Day

I’m sorry I didn’t get to post many Christmas recipes this year – there was the computer crash fiasco to blame, but actually I have been testing many Christmas recipes, only they will be in my next e-book, which will be out next Christmas!

What are you planning to make your Christmas special this year? What is your favourite dish that you plan to make?

Leave a reply - I'd love to know what you think!
