This is what my Christmas lunch looked like:
Nut roast (shop-bought), peas, roasted baby potatoes, roasted butternut squash and chestnuts (recipe here), roasted parsnip (not my favourite). I was SO FULL.
Much chocolate was consumed as dessert. I didn’t make a cake or buy a pudding because I honestly didn’t think I could manage it all. I’ve got a pot of dairy-free chocolate ice cream waiting for me in the freezer, as well as some home-made salted chocolate truffles.
Opening presents after breakfast turned into a right carnage:
Decorating my paper crown I got from one of my crackers.
This cheeky little minx woke me up at an ungodly hour this morning!
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful day. Who’s getting up early for Boxing Day tomorrow? My sister insists upon it, but personally I wouldn’t mind skipping the shopping experience… I’ve got some sleep to catch up on.
