Enjoy this mug of pure cacao love with a slice of hazelnut coffee cake. Or just on its own, simple and utterly perfect. I find this brew so satisfying on a dull winter day when you need a little extra kick to keep you going.
250–300ml hazelnut or almond milk (I prefer hazelnut, personally)
3 heaped teaspoons dark cacao powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cacao chilli (or just add 1/3 teaspoon chilli flakes)
Mix all the ingredients in a small saucepan and heat until it just starts simmering, then pour into a mug and enjoy. Add more or less chilli according to your own preference.
